Where do I get a license to put on my iLok?
Software licenses are distributed by the software publishers and their authorized resellers. Please contact the software publisher of the software you wish to use to find out where you can obtain a license for their software.
How do I get my replacement licenses?
If your iLok is broken, lost or stolen, the first step in getting replacement licenses is to place a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) report for the iLok. If you need access to your licenses immediately, Zero Downtime™ (ZDT) coverage allows you to receive temporary licenses in your iLok.com account as part of the RMA process.
While Zero Downtime™ works the same in both a Broken iLok RMA and a Lost/Stolen iLok RMA, the actual license replacement works differently. In either type of RMA, if the iLok is covered by ZDT, 2-week temporary licenses are immediately deposited in your account for all eligible licenses last seen on the iLok by iLok.com.
For a broken iLok RMA, we are authorized by the software companies to provide permanent replacement licenses for those that we recover from your broken iLok. Once we receive your broken iLok, we recover the licenses from it and deposit permanent replacement licenses in your account.
For a Lost/Stolen iLok RMA, we are not authorized by the software companies to do the permanent license replacements. You would need to contact the software companies directly regarding replacements for the lost licenses.

I don't have a license card.
A license card is a small GSM card that fits into the slot at the end of the iLok and is used to deliver a license to your iLok. Very few companies deliver licenses this way today. Once the license is on your iLok the license card no longer holds the license. You may need to save the license card for proof of purchase.
If you believe you should have received a license card but did not, or you have lost your license card, please contact the software publisher of the product. They will be able to assist you. We are not a license distributor and have no ability to replace license cards.
My software is indicating the a license cannot be found on the attached iLok.
If you do not have a license for the software, please contact the software publisher to obtain a license for their product.
If you do have the correct license on your working iLok and it is not authorizing the associated protected software, the problem could be with the iLok software, or the protected software.
Please download and install the latest iLok Software from the Download page, reboot, and try again. If you still get this message, please contact the software publisher of your protected software for assistance.
My iLok-protected software is displaying an error message.
Please contact the software publisher for the software plugin you are trying to use. They are the only ones capable of providing support for their software and can tell you what their error message means.
My iLok is no longer authorizing the software even though the correct license is there.
If your iLok is no longer authorizing your software, the problem could be with the iLok software, the protected software, or the iLok.
Rule out iLok Software:
Download and install the latest iLok Software, reboot, and login to your iLok.com account. If your iLok appears in the Found iLoks list, it should now work to authorize your iLok-protected software.
Rule out iLok hardware:
Plug in the iLok. Does the iLok light up when plugged into a known working USB port? If not, or if the iLok is physically damaged, this indicates a problem with the iLok, and it should be submitted for License Recovery and Replacement through the RMA process.
If the iLok does light up, but is still not listed in "Found iLoks" after ruling out the iLok Software, and if other iLoks that you've tested in the same USB port do appear there, this indicates a problem with the iLok and an RMA is necessary.
